Clarington has a rich history with many cultural heritage resources. You can find various historical, buildings and landmarks in Clarington's three historic downtowns, hamlets and in the rural landscapes.

We strive to promote a culture of conservation that fosters civic pride, supports cultural achievements, strengthens the local economy, builds a unique sense of place and enhances the quality of life for current and future residents.

The Municipality and the Clarington Heritage Committee engage local residents and property owners to educate and encourage conservation, protection enhancement and adaptive reuse of cultural heritage resources.
