The Municipality of Clarington encourages competition among our suppliers to maximize savings for taxpayers. Our bidding process is transparent and equitable, ensuring fairness among bidders.
We have a variety of bidding procedures in place to ensure openness and accountability. The Municipality is committed to safeguarding the regulations in the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) as it relates to procurement and business transactions for Clarington goods and services. These regulations should be considered by vendors and suppliers looking to do business with the Municipality.
Legislation states that all contractors providing goods, services or construction to the Municipality must ensure their employees and subcontractors are trained on providing accessible customer services. Training can be as simple as completing one of the several online programs available at no cost.
