The Clarington Animal Shelter is now open Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., to purchase animal licences and drop off adoption applications. If you have found a stray or lost animal, please call the Animal Shelter to make arrangements to bring the animal in.
The Municipality of Clarington promotes a safe and healthy environment for people and all animals. Our staff assist with wildlife concerns and provide the following services: fostering, impounding animals, reuniting animals with families, sheltering, and caring for impounded/surrendered animals.
The Clarington Animal Shelter is owned and operated by the Municipality of Clarington and is located in Bowmanville. Our friendly staff and dedicated volunteers care for animals that are up for adoption. We also take care of stray, injured or lost pets.
