Sign Permit

If you plan to erect a sign in Clarington, you must fill out and submit a sign permit application form. This is required for both permanent and temporary signs. Your sign must comply with the Sign By-law, Building By-law and Zoning By-law.

How do I apply?

1. Fill out the online sign permit application form.
2. Upload an electronic copy of plans or drawings showing the location, size, type and precise wording and illustrations of the sign.
3. Pay the fee requested within the form and submit the application.
4. If approved, a staff member will contact you to provide a sign permit number.
