Weight Restrictions

The 2025 weight restrictions for roads under the Municipality of Clarington's jurisdiction will begin on March 1, 2025. Signs will remain on municipal roads where weight restrictions apply year-round. The restrictions will be reviewed closer to April and is weather and road condition dependent.

When weight restrictions are in effect, vehicle loads are restricted to five (5) tonnes per axle in accordance with the provisions of the Highway Traffic Act R.S.O. 1990, cH8, s122.
