- Zumba® is a high-energy, cardio dance workout that uses music and choreographed steps to form a fitness party atmosphere. No previous dance experience is required.

Cardio/Strength classes |
These training classes are designed to get your heart rate soaring and tone and sculpt your body. Resistance exercises help you gain muscle strength and endurance, raise your metabolic rate and transform your body composition by reducing body fat and increasing lean muscle mass.
- 20/20/20 This 60-minute class combines all of your favourite fitness components: 20 minutes of cardio, 20 minutes of muscle conditioning and 20 minutes of stretching. Each class is taught a bit differently to accommodate each Fitness Instructor’s unique flair.
- Cardio Core This class will increase core strength, balance and flexibility as you perform core work. This class will also incorporate cardiovascular exercise with a focus on strengthening your abdominals, lower back, hips and glute muscles. A wide variety of exercises, timed intervals, circuit work, and much more will create an invigorating workout to keep you coming back for more.
- Low-Intensity Interval Training (L.I.I.T.) A low-impact cardio/strength class designed to help develop muscular endurance and stamina through short intervals. A wide variety of exercises and timed intervals create an invigorating workout to keep you coming back for more. Exercise modifications are always offered, which makes this class great for all fitness levels.
- Body Sculpt A fun, easy-to-follow full-body workout using hand weights, bars, and bands for resistance training incorporating low impact, high cardio movements. This class will leave you feeling refreshed and stronger for everyday life.
- Spin A stationary bike cardiovascular and anaerobic workout with varying speeds and resistance levels provides a different ride every time. Our spin bikes have the option to clip in or use the running shoe cage. All fitness levels are welcome.
- Spin High-Intensity Interval Training (H.I.I.T.) A high-intensity, full-body workout designed to keep you burning calories after you leave the studio. This class begins with 30 minutes on the spin bike, where you can work at your own pace to challenge yourself, followed by full-body movements using dumbbells and body weight to strengthen and tone your core and more.

Strength/H.I.I.T. classes |
Classes are designed with high-intensity bursts of exercise followed by minimal rest. A variety of full-body exercises combined with heart-pounding cardiovascular exercises will be sure to have you feeling great this summer. No equipment is necessary, but if you have dumbbells, bands, or an exercise mat, please bring them to class with you.
- Boot Camp Push your limits while playing with battle ropes, tires, agility ladders and more. Elevate your heart rate by using full-body functional training using large muscle movements to burn large amounts of calories and promote significant strength gains—an excellent workout for all fitness levels.
- High-Intensity Interval Training (H.I.I.T.) Challenge yourself with this fast-paced workout that will hit every muscle group through various functional movements and equipment. Build strength, endurance, and power while burning a ton of calories.
- Kettlebell Learn proper kettlebell form and technique while having fun with the unique kettlebell swing movements for a cardiovascular boost. Improve strength, power, and heart health in addition to maximizing fat burning.
- Muscle Moves Take sculpting to the next level in this strength-based class, emphasizing full-body strength. This class is designed to help participants develop muscular endurance and strength for an active lifestyle. Emphasizes correct form instead of going for the burn.
- Kick'n'Core Kick calories to the curb in this cardio kickboxing class containing a variety of core exercises throughout.
- Tabata training is a high-intensity interval training workout featuring exercises that last four minutes. You push yourself as hard as you can for 20 seconds and rest for 10 seconds, completing one set. You’ll complete eight sets of each exercise. Challenge yourself with this fast-paced workout that will hit every muscle group through a variety of functional movements. Build strength, endurance, and power while burning a ton of calories. No equipment is needed.

Mind, body and core |
Classes focus on developing mind/body awareness, concentrating on breath in movement, flexibility, core strength and postural alignment. Classes range from total relaxation to a more vigorous physical workout. Please bring your mat to class.
- Core and Stretch This workout focuses on strengthening the core with challenging exercises targeting the rectus abdominis, obliques, transverse abdominis, and lower back. Stretching exercises will focus on the entire body with a focus on the back and hips. Join us outdoors for this fun, challenging, yet relaxing workout.
- Pilates Experience this mind-body movement focusing on the Pilates principles of centring and concentration along with full-body conditioning, postural responsiveness, and constructing a hard rock core. Includes elements of standing as well as mat work—perfect for all fitness levels.
- Yoga Learn basic postures, stretches and breathing techniques to help align your body and help you to relax and de-stress.
- Yogalates A fusion of yoga and Pilates, this class mixes both disciplines to develop core strength, tone and lengthen muscles, increase flexibility and reduce stress. Feel good about this choice.

Specialty fitness classes |

Whether you are walking, running, skipping or hopping, these classes are designed to get you outside, get you moving and enjoy fitness with a group of people, physically distanced, of course. These classes will train you to avoid injury, increase speed, reduce fatigue, increase your recovery and, most of all, stay mentally motivated. No matter what your goals are, we’ll have a class that interests you.
- Learn to Run The most important part of the journey is the beginning. This course is designed for the beginner who is overwhelmed to try running on their own. This program starts with the ABCs of running and slowly builds on the foundations that will nurture your love of running for years to come. No previous running experience necessary.
- Stroller Fit Not just a walk in the park. Stroller Fit is a caregiver and baby-friendly full-body workout. Classes will include a combination of cardio intervals, power walks, functional strength training, post-natal specific core work and flexibility. Come out and meet other parents in your community. All fitness levels are welcome. You do not need a jogging stroller; any stroller will do. For safety reasons, mobile infants should remain in their strollers/carriers/backpacks. Classes will be outdoors, so please dress appropriately. In inclement or colder weather, class will be held indoors in the Older Adult Hall at Courtice Community Complex. Please bring your own yoga and/or baby mats, indoor athletic shoes, and refillable water bottle for indoor classes.
- Teen Fitness Training This course is designed for teens ages 13 to 17 to gain confidence and knowledge in working out. Our weekly one-hour class takes place in the Courtice Fitness Training Centre and is led by a Certified Personal Trainer. This is a workout, so come ready to exercise. Teens will learn the proper use of strength and cardiovascular equipment to help build confidence in operating the machines safely and effectively. The Trainer will teach proper form and training techniques for safe, age-appropriate weightlifting, principles used to gain muscular strength and endurance, build cardiovascular endurance, and learn how to build safe and effective workouts. This course will also touch on basic nutrition, overall health and wellness tips and tricks, gym etiquette, basic anatomy and stretching techniques. All fitness levels are welcome.
