Clarington unveils orange crosswalk In memory of the children of the residential school system, Clarington has painted an orange crosswalk in front of Town Hall on the corner of Temperance and Church streets. We hope the crosswalk serves as a reminder to those who cross it to take a moment to reflect and remember the devastating generational impacts of the residential school system. This is just one of many actions the Municipality is taking toward reconciliation.
Fire Prevention Week is October 9 to 15, and we’re marking the 100th anniversary by reminding you to keep your family safe from fire. Protect your loved ones by installing working smoke and carbon monoxide alarms outside all sleeping areas and on every storey of your home. Be prepared. Create an emergency plan and practise it with your family. www.clarington.net/EmergencyPreparedness
