Tell us why you #HeartYourParksClarington for a chance to win a Parks Prize Pack!

Clarington, Ontario – Having access to community parks, trails and open space consistently ranks as a top priority for Clarington residents, as seen in the recent Parks, Recreation and Culture Master Plan survey. In celebration of June Parks and Recreation Month, we’re calling on residents to share why you #HeartYourParksClarington for a chance to win a Parks Prize Pack, including outdoor toys and swag!

Get involved and share how you #HeartYourParksClarington at one of the many community events happening this month. Here’s how:

• Visit www.clarington.net/HeartYourParks to tell us about your favourite park, trail, sports field or outdoor space in Clarington, or post a photo on social media using #HeartYourParksClarington.
• Starting June 3, visit a Clarington Recreation Centre or Library to draw on a small flag showing us why you #HeartYourParksClarington, and turn it into staff to receive a prize. Watch for your artwork to be displayed in municipal facilities!

“We know our residents love their parks and green space – it’s what makes Clarington a great place to call home,” said Mayor Adrian Foster. “From sports fields, trails, jungle gyms and splash pads, we’re calling on the community to share all the ways you #HeartYourParksClarington!”
