Clarington, Ontario – The following statement has been released by Clarington Mayor Adrian Foster, expressing condolences on the death of former Member of Parliament Kim Rudd:
“On behalf of Council and the Municipality of Clarington, I want to express our sincerest sympathy to MP Rudd’s family, friends and everyone grieving her loss. I am genuinely saddened to hear about the recent passing of our former MP, who represented east Clarington.
She was a dedicated public servant, entrepreneur, and humanitarian who fiercely advocated for the nuclear sector, affordable housing, and health care. She leaves an admirable legacy for her remarkable work for Canada, steadfast commitment to her constituents and significant contributions to our community.
In memory of MP Rudd, flags across Clarington will remain lowered to half-mast until after her funeral.”
