- All municipal recreation facilities and programs remain open tonight (February 15).
Crews are working hard ❄️
Our snow-clearing crews are already out clearing roads as the snow continues to fall. As a reminder, roads are plowed in a priority sequence, with main roads and emergency routes cleared first. Please be patient with our snow-clearing crews as they work to keep up with the snowfall.
Help us help you 📢
We’re working hard to clear priority roads, trails, and sidewalks—you can support our snow-clearing efforts:
- Remove your parked vehicle(s) from the road. Temporary parking passes and on-street parking permits are not valid during a snow event or for the duration of the cleanup. If you park on the street during a snow event, your vehicle may be ticketed or towed.
- Stay off the roads and avoid unnecessary travel. If you need to drive, remember to drive according to the road and weather conditions.
- Stay a safe distance back from the snowplows and never pass the plow.
- Clear snow and ice from around your hydrant and exhaust vents from gas-powered appliances if you are physically able to do so.
- You must clear the snow bordering your property within 24 hours of the end of the snowfall.
- Please do not report unplowed roads until at least 12 hours after the end of the snowstorm. If you need to report a winter road maintenance emergency like drifting snow, icy roads or downed trees, call 905-623-3379 ext. 2661. For after-hours road emergencies, please call Oshawa Fire Dispatch at 905-433-1234.
