Construction on new Bowmanville park to begin June 5

On Monday, June 5, 2023, crews will start work on the construction of Brookhill Parkette in Bowmanville, located at 2350 Green Road. 

The construction work includes the installation of: 

• A play pod with playground equipment, a concrete curb, drainage, and wood fibre safety surfacing. 
• A shade structure with a concrete pad. 
• Park signage, benches and waste receptacles. 
• Various landscape features and vegetation. 

Temporary fencing will be erected around the construction area, and we remind residents to stay a safe distance back and not enter the construction site. The park is expected to open in mid-August following a safety inspection and certification.
