Certain residential areas will benefit from forestry work that keeps our neighborhoods beautiful, our community safe and our trees healthy. In the coming weeks, crews will be conducting block pruning, which may cause minor disruptions for pedestrian traffic.
Block pruning is an important practice that promotes safe tree structure while improving the overall health of our trees. This work will involve:
- Removing dead, diseased, broken or dangerous branches
- Pruning for clearance over roadways, public walkways and driveways
- Trimming branches that come into contact with homes and other structures during normal weather conditions
