Due to extreme heavy rain and flooding all of the Bowmanville Valley Trail from Highway 2 to the Waterfront Trail is closed until further notice. As a result of creek bank flooding and swift currents the Bowmanville Valley Trail is unsafe. For everyone’s safety, the trail is now closed to the public.
Spring rain and snowmelt can contribute to higher water levels and increased water velocities in rivers and streams. Keep back from fast moving water or water overfilling its banks. Remind children to stay away from bodies of water and keep pets on a leash.
