Four accessible parking spots located in front of Courtice Community Complex will be relocated as construction begins on Clarington’s first-ever outdoor refrigerated ice rink.
The parking spots will move temporarily to the south side of the front entrance, joining two existing spots across from Courtice Library. The accessible spots will be permanently located directly in front of the library after a curb cut is completed to provide an accessible route to the sidewalk.
New temporary accessible parking spots join existing accessible parking on the south side of the Courtice Community Complex parking lot.
The outdoor skating rink will include a refrigerated ice surface bordered by a rubber skate mat, ample lighting for evening use, covered and uncovered chairs and benches, a gas fire pit, and a warming room. It is expected to open for the 2024-25 skating season.
Thank you for your patience during the construction period. We apologize for the inconvenience.
