Construction Notice: Upcoming pavement rehabilitation work in Bowmanville and Newcastle

Please be advised that beginning the week of October 7, 2024, GIP Paving Limited will begin work on road improvements in Bowmanville and Newcastle.

Roadwork will include the removal and replacement of applicable surface and base asphalt and concrete sidewalks and curbs, as well as asphalt paving, traffic line painting, driveway and roadway shoulder re-instatement (where applicable), ditching and associated restoration works.

These roadwork improvements will take place in the following locations:

• Luverme Court, Bowmanville
• Rebecca Court, Bowmanville
• Pamela Court, Bowmanville
• Avi Court, Bowmanville
• Sydel Court, Bowmanville
• Gary Court, Bowmanville
• Aspen Springs Drive, Bowmanville – from Green Road to Fry Crescent
• Flett Street, Bowmanville – from Parkway Crescent to Southway Drive
• Parkway Avenue, Bowmanville – from Parkway Crescent to Parkway Crescent
• Andrew Street, Newcastle – from Mill Street to Arthur Street
• Andrew Court, Newcastle
• Willow Court, Newcastle
• George Street, Newcastle – from Beaver Street to Andrew Street
• Sylvia Court, Newcastle
• Orchard Heights Drive, Newcastle – from Andrew Street to 80 meters south of Andrew Street

Each road will be subject to lane reductions and short-term closures during working hours, and traffic may experience delays. The contractor will ensure that garbage and recycling pick-up and deliveries remain uninterrupted. Although construction will be disruptive at times, we appreciate your patience as crews complete the work.

Rural locations are anticipated to be completed by the end of November 2024, with the remaining locations completed by end of July 2025. Please note that timelines are approximate and will vary dependent on weather and other factors.
