Residents donate generously to Clarington Animal Shelter

The Clarington Animal Shelter wants to thank all the residents who supported the animals in the shelter this holiday season. The generous community donations of cash, pet food, kitty litter, soft blankets, and pet toys were overwhelming and brought joy to all the animals in the shelter.
The donations help provide food, care and shelter for stray, injured and lost animals, assist with the costs of fostering, and help reunite animals with their families.

Council comments on Bill 23, More Homes Built Faster Act
Clarington Council made several comments to the Province on the changes in the More Homes Built Faster Act, 2022. The Municipality of Clarington has unveiled a newly renovated citizen-centric ground floor at Town Hall to enhance customer service for residents.
The new one-stop shop brings front-line staff from throughout the building to the main floor to help residents access our services all in one place.

Clarington, Ontario – A remarkable Clarington resident has been honoured with the David C. Onley Award for Leadership in Accessibility.
“Deanna Miskie is a local accessibility champion who identified a barrier in communication in her workplace and found a way to overcome it, making her workplace more accessible and inclusive,” said Clarington Accessibility Coordinator Laila Shafi.
