Notice of Study Completion: Port Granby Project End Use Transportation Network MCEA

The Municipality of Clarington has completed a Schedule ‘B’ Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (EA) to investigate how the local transportation network can best serve the community as the Port Granby Project enters end-use operations. The EA was completed in accordance with the Municipal Engineers Association’s Municipal Class EA document dated October 2000, as amended in 2007, 2011 and 2015.

A Roadmap to 2051: Clarington launches Official Plan Review

Clarington, Ontario – The Municipality of Clarington launched a review of the Official Plan at a Special Council Meeting on Tuesday, June 27.
This Plan will guide the municipality as we grow. By the year 2051, Clarington’s total population is forecast to grow from 105,000 to 221,000 (an increase of 110 per cent). By 2051, the total employment base for Clarington is forecast to grow from 29,900 jobs to 70,300 jobs (an increase of 135 per cent).

“We are delighted to hear the Government of Ontario and Ontario Power Generation(OPG) announce plans to build three additional small modular reactors (SMR) at the Darlington Nuclear Generating Station.

Clarington, Ontario – The Municipality of Clarington is excited to launch the "Lifeguarding at any Age" program with the support of the 2023-24 Seniors Community Grant program from the Ministry of Seniors and Accessibility.
