Clarington encourages residents to play in the snow while keeping sidewalks and roads clear

Clarington is reminding property owners to keep sidewalks and roads clear after a snowfall.

Sidewalks must be cleared within 24 hours after the snow stops falling. That 24-hour period is often the best time to play in fresh snow. Clearing sidewalks in a timely manner is a great opportunity to improve safety, enjoy some crisp winter air, get some exercise, and have some fun. Coyotes have been seen recently in urban areas in Clarington

Coyotes don’t generally pose a danger to people, but they can be a danger to pets. But while they are usually harmless, they are still wild animals and should be treated with caution. Never feed or approach a coyote.

The Municipality has met its 2023 target for new housing starts with 953 units, a report from staff highlighted for Council.
