Clarington’s Municipal Law Enforcement Officers play an important role in maintaining a safe and vibrant community. They investigate and enforce municipal by-laws such as parking, property standards, zoning, signs, noise, licensing and more.
Recently, there has been an increase in instances of aggressive, inappropriate and abusive behaviour toward Clarington’s Municipal Law Enforcement Officers. These actions will not be tolerated and have resulted in serious legal consequences.
