Clarington, Ontario – Clarington has received a Seniors Community Grant from the Province of Ontario’s Ministry for Seniors and Accessibility. Four accessible parking spots located in front of Courtice Community Complex will be relocated as construction begins on Clarington’s first-ever outdoor refrigerated ice rink.
The parking spots will move temporarily to the south side of the front entrance, joining two existing spots across from Courtice Library. The accessible spots will be permanently located directly in front of the library after a curb cut is completed to provide an accessible route to the sidewalk.

Clarington, Ontario – As local students prepare to head into summer holidays, the Municipality of Clarington is taking steps to improve road safety in school zones for when classes resume this fall.
Drivers will need to slow down as the speed limit in school zones on Clarington roads is being reduced from 50 kilometres per hour to 30 kilometres per hour. New speed limit signs will be installed over the summer months, to be completed in time for the start of the 2024-25 school year.
