Clarington, Ontario – Clarington is helping to support the educational and career aspirations of youth who champion diversity and inclusion in the community through a new Diversity Leadership Bursary.
The bursary provides $1,500 to an eligible graduating high-school student involved in activities and initiatives that create positive change related to diversity, inclusion, anti-racism, and accessibility in Clarington.

Over the next few months, Veteran’s Square in Bowmanville will undergo an extensive renovation to create a new vibrant and welcoming space for people of all abilities. Once complete, Veteran’s Square will feature five new flag poles, raised gardens, accessible seating, paved pathways, a service animal relief area and mobility device charging stations.
Construction is expected to begin the week of May 6, 2024, with the renovations scheduled to be completed in time for the Remembrance Day Service...

Clarington residents will soon see new playground equipment at the following parks:
Crews will work from May to August to remove the existing equipment that has reached its end of life and install new play structures, swings and other park amenities.

Maplefest celebrates the start of spring and all things maple! Join in the festivities in Historic Downtown Bowmanville from Saturday, May 4, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
King Street will be closed from Friday, May 3, 2024, at 6 p.m. to Saturday, May 4, 2024, at approximately 8 p.m. from Scugog Street to George Street and will also include parts of Division and Temperance Streets. Detours are available via alternate local roads.
