Short term pain for long term gain: the Courtice Community Complex Fitness Centre is getting a refresh!
Construction kicks off on Thursday, June 20 as crews remove the existing office and relocate the reception desk to create more floor space for additional equipment coming this fall. A new door to the program room will also be added.
While there may be some additional noise and dust during this time, the fitness area, change rooms and group fitness centre will remain open and accessible.

Phase 2 of road paving and concrete works in Bowmanville Cemetery (1330 Haines Street, Bowmanville) will begin on October 28, 2024, and will last approximately one month. Weather conditions may impact the work schedule.
The road closures are part of ongoing maintenance of the cemetery.

Starting the week of October 7, the Ministry of Transportation will begin rehabilitation work on the west side of the Bowmanville Creek Highway 401 bridge crossing. During this period, the Bowmanville Creek Valley Trail beneath the bridge will be reduced to a single lane.
Crews will occasionally move equipment and haul debris along the trail from the bridge to Baseline Road, with flagpersons on site as needed. The work is expected to be completed by the end of November.
