Clarington, Ontario – The Municipality of Clarington is pleased to announce that Deputy Fire Chief Randy Cowan has been appointed as the Acting Fire Chief.
“Randy is a dedicated and valued member of the Clarington leadership team,” said Clarington CAO Mary-Anne Dempster. “He has worked his way up through the ranks and has been the Deputy Fire Chief for the last two years.”

Clarington firefighters raised more than $10,000 to support men’s health through the Movember Foundation – and there’s still time to donate.
In the final hours of November, an outpouring of donations pushed the Clarington firefighters’ campaign to $11,921. The surge put the Clarington Professional Firefighters Association members, IAFF Local 3139, in the top eight fire teams across Canada fundraising for the Movember Foundation (a charity which funds projects to improve men’s health).
