Starting May 25, 2025, work begins on the final phase of the roof replacement at the Municipal Administrative Centre, 40 Temperance Street, in Bowmanville. Construction crews will be on-site Monday to Saturday throughout the summer completing work on the west section of the roof.

Update March 15 at 12:30 p.m. - The Ontario Fire Marshal (OFM) has completed the initial stage of its investigation at the fire scene and released the properties to the owners. Demolition crews will begin working to take down the remainder of building 69-75a this weekend, as the building has been deemed unsafe. King Street West, from Scugog Street to Silver Street, will remain closed into next week.

Starting Monday, April 7, 2025, Clarington Walks will be temporarily relocated from Bowmanville Indoor Soccer while construction begins on the new South Bowmanville Recreation Centre.

The whirlpool at Diane Hamre Recreation Complex will be closed for maintenance on September 13, 2024.
The sauna, main pool and tot pool remain open for drop-in times and scheduled activities. The whirlpools at Courtice Community Complex and Alan Strike Aquatic and Squash Centre remain open as regularly scheduled.

Due to unsafe conditions, the Camp 30 Trail at Lambs Road and Concession Street East in Bowmanville is closed immediately until further notice.
Timing for reopening is pending and will be based on an assessment and evaluation of necessary repairs for a culvert (also known as a tunnel under the road), which allows water to flow below the path.
